Kome Kome CLUB: Kimi ga iru dake de (米米CLUB 君がいるだけで)

I enjoy listening to my 90s CD in the car because I don't have to watch the videos. Here's a good example why. (Have you see anything scarier than the first 13 seconds?)

He looks like KD Lang when she was good looking ne. Also, so much Japanese music and styles are so overly Western influenced...at times it is "scary" as you say, or amusing..I like more authentic Japanese music I guess....and music like "Sakura, Sakura".

A little bit ne. I don't mind the westernization of the music. Even enka is very westernized.

This was a huge hit in the 90s. I like the music, but the singer's stylist should have been fired.

I know there is a strong Western influence of many things there. Some if it is unique to the point of bizarre...such as those groups of young people who dress & look so much like Elvis or some other idol. A strange phenomenon. But , I love when they take what is Western and make it better (as in some foods) or make it more interesting , as in some musics. I like when the Japanese tradition is somehow nicely complemented by the West, or vice versa. IN other words, when the Japanese cultural content is still obvious in some way, ya know what i mean?
